Shark Vacuum Parts: Find the Right Part for Your Model

Shark makes a lot of vacuums, and most parts only fit a few of them. A filter kit for a Navigator won’t fit a Stratos cordless, and some Vertex batteries can’t be swapped at all. This guide takes you from your model number to the right official Shark part, and tells you which part actually fixes your problem.

Quick answer: Start with your Shark’s model number, then match it to the official part. The common ones are filter kits (for example XFF350 and XHF350 for the Navigator NV351/NV352), removable batteries (XBATR725SL for the Stratos cordless, XSBT750 for the Vertex IZ462H) and chargers. Check Shark’s parts page for anything not listed here.

Step 1: Find Your Model Number

Every part decision starts here. Shark puts the label in different places:

Shark familyWhere the model label is
Rotator (NV600 series)Rating label on the back of the vacuum (the date code is on one of the power-cord plug prongs)
Stratos upright (AZ3000 series)QR code label on the bottom of the back of the vacuum pod
Vertex cordless (IZ440 / IZ460 series)QR code label on the bottom of the back of the handheld, and on the battery
Other familiesShark’s support site says to look on the rating label on the back or bottom of the vacuum, near the bar code on the bottom of the box, or on the front cover of the owner’s guide

Step 2: Match the Part to Your Shark

Most of these kits fit more models than the one named here. Shark’s parts pages list them. For example, XFF350 and XHF350 cover a long list of Navigator models, and XBATR725SL also lists the IZ840H, UZ865H, IZ862HC and UZ865HCCO. Always check that your exact model number appears on the part’s page before you buy.

Parts Shark Expects You to Replace

Some parts wear out by design. Shark’s warranties don’t cover normal wear of these, so plan to buy them:

  • Filters. The Navigator and Rotator warranties list filters among wear parts. Shark gives replacement intervals for some: the Navigator HEPA every 3 years, and on the Stratos upright, the pre-motor filters every 2.5 years and the HEPA every 3 years.
  • Brushes and pads. The Navigator warranty excludes brushes; the Rotator warranty excludes pads.
  • Batteries. On the Stratos cordless, the battery has its own 2-year warranty, shorter than the vacuum’s 5 years.

Genuine Shark Parts vs Third-Party

Start with the official Shark part for your model. Shark’s parts pages confirm the fit, and for some parts Shark is explicit: the Vertex guide says to use only Shark charger DK33-288080H-U, and on the IZ462H only battery pack XSBT750.

Third-party filters and batteries are sold for many Shark models. If you consider one, make sure the listing names your exact model number. For batteries especially, avoid cheap, no-name lithium packs.

Safety note: Unplug your Shark, or switch off a cordless model, before you fit any part. Never fit a battery that’s swollen or damaged, and use only the charger listed for your model.

FAQ

Where can I buy genuine Shark vacuum parts?

From Shark directly. Its parts and support pages list filters, batteries and chargers by model, and Shark’s Stratos cordless guide points to sharkaccessories.com for replacement batteries.

How do I know which Shark filter I need?

Find your model number on the label, then check that it appears on the filter kit’s page. The table above lists the kits for the Navigator, Rotator, Rocket, Stratos cordless and Vertex cordless families.

Does the Shark warranty cover replacement filters?

Not for normal wear. The Navigator and Rotator warranties list filters among wear parts, and the Stratos upright warranty excludes normal wear and tear of wearable parts.

Can I replace the battery on any Shark cordless?

No. The Stratos cordless and the Vertex IZ462H have removable batteries. The Vertex IZ440H and IZ441H don’t.

Bottom Line

Get the model number first, then buy the official part listed for it. Filters and removable batteries fix many common Shark problems. For anything not in our table, Shark’s parts page by model number is the safest place to look.
